New Feature: Data Export

After receiving many emails asking for this, it's now possible to export up to 1,000 search results. There's an additional 'Export' tab on the search results page, which lets you retrieve the results in an XML format.

There's also a help page on it over at the main website.

In order to export data, you will need to buy credits. 1 credit gives you 1 export, and they can be purchased at various amounts:

• $5 gets you 1 credit
• $20 gets you 6 credits ($3.33/ credit)
• $50 gets you 20 credits ($2.50/ credit)

A Glimpse into the Future of Technology/ Gaming

I wanted to share two interesting videos I've encountered this week, both cover different angles of the same phenomenon: the merging of online gaming/ technology with the outside world.

Which version of Microsoft IIS is most prevalent?

Using SHODAN a total of 2,115,771 computers were identified running a version of Microsoft IIS. A search query in the format of "microsoft-iis/_version_" was executed to determine the relative share of each IIS version. The resulting popularity ranking is shown in the figure above, and written out below:

1. Microsoft IIS 6.0 - 75.59% (1,599,422 results)
2. Microsoft IIS 5.0 - 15.08% (319,094 results)
3. Microsoft IIS 7.0 - 6.66% (140,991 results)
4. Microsoft IIS 5.1 - 1.47% (31,290 results)
5. Microsoft IIS 7.5 - 0.53% (11,360 results)
6. Microsoft IIS 4.0 - 0.41% (8,798 results)
7. Microsoft IIS 3.0 - 0.01% (349 results)
8. Microsoft IIS 2.0 - 0.0005% (11 results)
9. Microsoft IIS 1.0 - 0.0001% (4 results)
